What reason did they give for brenda not being at donna and davids wedding?  Was she mentioned at all after she left the show?

Hello Ryan,

There was no mention on why Brenda was not at Donna & David's wedding. I've heard rumors that there was a cut scene where Donna & David are going through the reply cards and Brenda sent her regrets saying her acting job made her unavailable. Also, Shannen Doherty herself said that she considered doing the final episode UNTIL she saw the script. She said the script had her there just for the sake of being there with no back story on why she was back. She was also tied up with the season finale of Charmed, which she was directing.

Brenda was mentioned a few times after she left. Some of the times are:

-In the 5th season premiere, when David sees and thinks Brandon is at the airport to pick up Brenda: Brandon informs him that Brenda had done so well at RADA during the summer that she had been offered a full scholarship and would be staying in London.

-That December, Jim & Cindy went to spend Christmas with Brenda in London while Brandon had stayed behind with Kelly following her being burned in the rave fire.

-In the 6th season finale, it is revealed that Dylan is living with Brenda in London following him leaving town after the death of his wife. Brenda sent Brandon an email, Dylan wrote Kelly a letter.

-In November 1997 episodes, Kelly & Brandon find Dylan's little sister working the streets. Brandon mentions talking to Brenda over the phone about Erica because the girl doesn't want Dylan to know. Dylan finds out through his mom, Iris.

-In the Season 8 finale, Brandon again mentions talking to Brenda and Dylan by phone where neither will not be able to make Brandon & Kelly's wedding.
