Question
why did dylan and brenda not stay together ? they were good for eachother. he and kelly did not match. why did this happen , why didn't brenda stay in the shows? dylan and brenda should have been the ones getting married.

Answer
Hi Ami,
I am with you--Brenda and Dylan were perfect for each other. I guess there's no easy answer to your question. Brenda's father never wanted her with Dylan, which I think caused a lot of problems in their relationship. In my opinion, the high school Baja trip was the beginning of the end for B and D. Because of that trip, Brenda was sent to Paris and left the door wide open for Kelly to make her move. I think D and K had chemistry because they both could relate to coming from broken homes. When senior year hit, the college-bound Brenda got frustrated by D's lack of goals, whereas Kelly didn't have too many goals. That night K went to D's dad's party and "chooses" Kelly, and B wasn't allowed to go, seemed to seal the fate of B and D. Then after Brenda left the show, I guess the writers figured they would let K and D be together. After D left the show, in season 6 we learn that D and B were living together in London for a couple of years, but then when D came back to the show in the 9th season, it was never clear why he broke up with B for the final time.

As for why Brenda (Shannen Doherty) left, there were rumors that she did not get along with the cast and demanded too much money. In real life, Andrea did not even invite Brenda to her wedding even the the rest of the cast was there. Perhaps if Shannen Doherty hadn't had so many problems on set, we would have gotten our wish and D and B would have stayed together. I still think it was terrible that B didn't even come back for the final 90210 episode.

Hope this helps,
Carmen

Hi. 90210 is my absolute favorite show. I watch it at least twice a day, have my favorite episodes on tape, and can answer any question anyone has about the plot lines. Valerie, Brenda, and David are my favorite characters. I have met few people who love the show as much as I do. 90210 has been my salvation after a hard day, a way to kill boredom, and just pure pleasure. If you are curious about the character`s lives or little tidbits, feel free to ask me. I`ve been known to help people win trivia contests.
