I take you mean Kevin & Suzanne as the con artists. That storyline started when Suzanne showed up on Dylan's doorstep with her daughter Erica (who may or may not be Dylan's father Jack McKay's biological child) in the Christmas episode of the 4th season, titled "Somewhere In the World It's Christmas". In the 4th season episode "Divas", Kevin is introduced as Suzanne's new boyfriend, they later marry in the season finalé. Also, in the season finalé, "Mr Walsh Goes to Washington", it is revealed that Suzanne & Kevin plan to steal all of Dylan's money. Dylan wanted to be a partner in Kevin's environmental business due to his desire to clean up the ocean and make a profit, that gave them access to Dylan's bank accounts.

The 5th season started off with Dylan turning to alcohol and later heroin over the loss of his money and sister. Dylan slipped further down into despair and addiction until a car accident left him in a coma fighting for his life. Once he recovered, and following a stint in rehab, with the help of a private investigator sent by Jack's former fianceé Christine (who worked for the FBI) and Valerie, Dylan was able to recover his money and sister in Mexico in the 5th season episode "Hazardous to Your Health" that tied up the storyline.
