Question
I listened to a sermon the other night given by a missionary called to go to Jordan. He talked about Muslims as being the other descendants of Abraham, in particular the Palestinians. So my question is are they (Palestinians) actual descendants of Abraham through Ishmael? Thank you for considering my question.

The real Palestinians are the Jews, the traditional people of Palestine.
The people called Palestinians today are Arabs (mainly Muslims and some Christians). The name is being misused since the 1950's to try and legitimize the Arab Muslim claim to the Land of the Jews.
Arabs are Semites who are descendants of Abraham and Hagar and her son Ishmael.
Jews are largely Semites who are descendants of Abraham and Sarah.
Understand however that the promises of God pass through Sarah, not Hagar. Eretz Israel (the Land of Israel) belongs to the descendants of Abraham and Sarah not to the descendants of Hagar.
