Question
Please can you tell me what constitutes a marriage ceremony in the Bible? I'm not interested in 'traditions' at all, just what God says you need to do to be married.

Christian marriage ceremonies today are expensive indulgent affairs - with the excuse that they are honoring God.

Answer
Hi, listen to get married you just need LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, even if you dont do a big ceremony, because people like to do big ceremonys just for vanity... remember what Ecclesiates say: chapter 1: EVERYTHING IS MEANNISGLES. In the days the we are living now, as you see people spend a lot of money for one day, then after few months maybe one year they got divorce... they not even finished pay for the wedding and there divorcing.... I will give you some verses maybe can help you.
the only important think to have or to bring in a marriage is LOVE.
Isaiah 62:5
Proverbs 18:22..... 10:12... 27:6
Ithessalonians 44
1 Juan 3:18...4:21..4:8..4:18
Ephesians 4:2
and the chapter of 1 Corinthians 13.
