Question
Dear Tom Smith

What are the of the verses, of what chapters., of what books, of the Bible; that explains and sheds light on;

What are the do's/do not's for, Christians?

A list of the verses, is what I am looking for: I can look up what the Bible says (this way it will save you some time). Even some of the verses will help, if you do not have time to do the hole answer.

Thank you in advance for your time and help on this matter.

Answer
Christianity is not so much a list of do's and don't as it is a relationship with Jesus who we know as our Lord and Saviour.

The Old Testament has the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17). and in Matt 22:37-40, we are given the two greatest commandments which provide us with the basis for all other commandments. To be perfectly righteous, we are not obey these in the letter, but in the spirit (Matt 5:17-48), however according to Romans 3:23, no one but Jesus has ever lived up to this standard. And keeping only some but not all does not merit salvation for us, since to fail in one of the commandments means that we have failed them all (James 2:10).

That leaves us with the only thing that we can do to merit salvation and that is to receive Jesus as Saviour and through the blood that he shed on the cross, all of our sins are paid for, and His righteousness is imputed to us (Romans 4:24).

Expertise

I am able to answer a wide range of questions regarding orthodox Christian theology as well as those of many of the more common cults and religious movements (inside and outside of the church). This includes Protestantism, Charismatic movement, New Apostolic Reformation, Strategic Prayer/Spiritual Warfare, Catholicism, Mormonism, Jehovah Witnesses, Calvinism, Reformed Church, Baptist Church, Pentecostalism, and Oneness Pentecostalism. I have been a member of or have attended many of the above. I have studied the beliefs and literature of the remaining through a variety of means, including in most cases interacting with members and/or leaders in these organizations. I also maintain a significant library/resource of information on these movements and organizations.

Experience

I have been a lifelong student of the Bible. In addition, I have been saved through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, and believe in the truth of God's Holy word in the Bible as the inerrant and infallible word of God. I have been a believer for over 43 years. Other qualifications include:

- Former member of the counril of a local church
- Speaker at the "Last Days Bible Conference" and other functions.
- Researcher into religious movements and cults (maintain website with information on some of these movements and cults)
- Member of the Apologetics Coordination Team

I hold to the view that the Bible is inerrant and infallible, and I belief that the Bible is our sole authority on matters of faith and doctrine (Sola Scripture, Sola Fide).
