Bible Studies/Progeny of Christ

Question
My question is where in the Bible does it say that Mary gave birth to other children? It seems to me illogical that God would raise his entire body into heaven but leave his genes on the planet. And why in Luke chapter 1 does she say that "all generations will call me blessed"? What does that mean for Christians?

Answer
Jesus had four brothers, James, Joseph, Simon and Judas. He also had at least three sisters. References are found throughout the New Testament:

Matthew 13:55 - "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?"
There are also at least a dozen other verses and I encourage you to look them up.

I would like to point out that Catholics don't believe this even though they are the only group which refuses to accept this clearly Scriptural truth.

As far as "all generations will call me blessed," she WAS blessed! Don't you wish your child could be GOD? Of course! I wish I could have just met Him, let alone have Him as my Son...

Thanks for the questions and I encourage you to continue to study the Word of God.
