How do we obtain the promises of God and what are those that would be relevant in obtaining them?

Answer
I believe that what would be relevant in obtaining the promises of God would be to be a believer on Jesus Christ as one’s personal Savior.

I believe one must CLAIM the promise.

There is a promise of God that says, in effect, Teach a child in the way he is to go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

I claim that promise in Jesus’ name.  I live by faith that when it is all said and done my children will come to faith in Jesus Christ as is their mother.
