About Rev C.Brian Ross
Expertise
I am happy to offer answers to anyone with a question that refers to the Christian Faith in its widest possible sense. I believe that the Bible is the living Word of God, and seek to base all of my life on its teaching. I also have some knowledge of some of the cults, and of Islam and Judaism. Of course, my answers are just one man's thoughts, and I would always advise a questioner to check with others, and with the Word of God.

Experience
Served as a full-time parish minister in Scotland for about six years, and then spent the last thirty as a teacher (now 'retired') of Religious Education in Secondary Comprehensive schools (ages 11-17) while continuing my own preaching and teaching ministry. I also believe that learning is a life-time process, and have recently completed a Master's degree in Divinity.

Organizations
Former Presenter on Revival FM - a local Christian, community radio station, broadcasting in west central Scotland, and online at revival.fm Involved with a number of organisations that support Christians who are currently suffering persecution in some 70 countries around the world.

Publications
Various articles in Christian magazines. I also have two blogsites - www.crazyrev.blogspot.com and (with audio messages) www.revcbross.blogspot.com

Education/Credentials
Diploma of The Bible Training Institute, Glasgow; Licentiate in Theology of the University of Glasgow; Associateship of The Philosophical Society of England; Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hons) in History from The Open University; Post-grad Certificate of Education - Religious Education and History; Post-grad Cetificate in Learning and Teaching; Post-grad Diploma in Management and Learning in Education; Master of Science Degree from the University of Strathclyde; Master of Divinity Degree (Hons) from Trinity College and Seminary (accredited by the University of Liverpool)

Question
QUESTION: Hi, for as long as I can remember strange things have happened in my life and im not sure if it's Godly in origin or not. Examples are: I told my mother that she was pregnant with both my siblings before any tests or symptoms arose/when someone phones I sometimes know who it is before i answer/when my sister was hurt at school, i knew before the teacher phoned us/i get an awful, undescribable feeling when some one or a pet is going to die. I seem to be emotionally dependant on people as I want to cry when they do almost as if I'm feeling their pain. I have OCD and have been assessed by two psychologists and both have ascertained that i am not schizophrenic nor am i over emaginative! I have once had an incident in my bedroom where something showed itself to me, i told my mom and her and my uncle and a pastor went into my room and all three said they saw a black thing. They refused to tell me what they saw and i wasnt allowed to go into the room again until we hurriedly moved out of the house two weeks later. I have a weird conection with animals as many people have pointed out that even non sociable animals come to me and will sleep at my feet or on my lap. I do not eat meat as i feel guilty. There is so much more I want to say but i'd be here for ages! Any idea what is going on with me?

I dont know who or what to believe in but do believe that when people die their souls dont and i do believe evil exists as i have had personal experience.

Please help me...

ANSWER: Hi Jacqueline!

Thank you for your question - one that troubles me a lot.  I have asked you to e-mail me as I would appreciate some additional information, if you are willing to provide it.

May I know your own age (group), please?  I would also like to know whether, or not, there has been any occult influence in your family history.  Are these things connected with any particular place/time?  Have you shared this with a Christian pastor on a personal, face-to-face, basis?  Whereabouts do you live?

It may be that you do not wish to answer some/all of the above questions, and that is fine.  I will endeavour to provide some help based on what you have already shared.  However, as my immediate reaction is to consider a satanic influence (and I agree withyou re the existence of evil!), it would be helpful to have a little more information.

I look forward to hearing from you again, soon.

In the power of the risen Lord Jesus,

C.Brian Ross (Rev)

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: I will be 26 in Feb, I was born in South Africa but have moved to Scotland about 7 weeks ago. My aunt(who has severe schizophrenia)has told the family that she did research and found that some one put a curse on our family(the bignoux's)and she legaly changed her name. I have always been fascinated with vampires and things like that. Our family originates from a town in France called Bignoux, i have been told that they came from a well to do family with links to french royalty. I am prepared to answer any question you may have. There is so much more that has happened to me with regards to seeing unexplainable things. I had a child come up to me in my local mall a few yrs ago and say that she sees my light?

Answer
Hi again, Jacqueline.

Thank you for the additonal information that you sent to me.  I was very interested to learn that you now live in Scotland. If you live anywhere in the Lanarkshire area, I would be happy to have you meet with my wife and myself, either in your home, our home, or a "neutral" venue to be decided by yourself.  May I suggest that, since my answers are in the public domain, we continue this particular correspondence at a more personal level?  To ensure your total privacy, I would further suggest that you go to my blog site (www.crazyrev.blogspot.com) and leave a comment, with your personal e-mail address/home address/telephone number - whichever you find most comfortable to leave - on the latest post.  This is totally confidential and only appears on the blog if and when I decide to make the comment public.  In this case, obviously, I would have it deleted as soon as I had taken note.

I appreciate that this may be more than that for which you are seeking, but genuinely believe that such a "physical" encounter might be best.  However, I will understand fully if you decline such an offer, and do not wish to even appear to be pressurising you in any way.  As you have already acknowledged in your feedback (thanks for that!) I do have your best interests at heart.

I look forward to your further communication - whatever you decide.

In His love,

C.Brian Ross (Rev)
