Question
I think there is a scripture in the bible that says something like mothers should not deny their children when they are sick. Do you know know what scripture it is?

Answer
Alas, this is a very difficult passage to pin down.  It does strike a very vague chord in the back of my mind, but it might be from some other source.  ,An extensive lexicographical search of all uses of the words "mother" "child" "deny" and "sick" have yielded little:

Isaiah 66:13
As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.

Isaiah 49:15
Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!

Matthew 7:9-10
Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?

You might play around with the key word search at http://www.biblegateway.com/keyword/

Hopefully that is somewhat helpful.
