WHERE DID ELIJAH ASCEND TO AND WHERE IS HE NOW.

Thanks for asking.
According to the Bible, Elijah was taken into heaven. The only thing that I can assume is that unless he has sinned [as some angels did] since then, he is still in heaven. I beleive that this is what the writers of the Bible intended for readers to think.
You must consider the fact that the story of Elijah's ascension is only hearsay and no one can be justly required to believe things that are hearsay. Yes, I know that it is presented as fact and that there is nothing about it to support the idea that it was just invented by the writer or that it was to be taken in a figurative way. Such notions are pure and illigitimate assumptions on the part of people who think that. They cannot prove their assumptions.
You must also realize that the way the term "faith" is used today, and has been for a very long time, is exactly opposite to the way it was used by the writers of the Bible when speaking about what is required to please God. Actually, the way people use the term "faith" today is exactly how it was used, and is used, by people who believe in false gods and the teachers of their false doctrines. This is a primary reason that virtually no one correctly understands what the Bible actually says mankind's relationship to God and how to correct it.
I also know how many people understand the idea of "inspiration" and that stories like that of Elijah are literally true and I know why they think that way. I also know that there are very good reasons for believing it. It's just that there is a serious flaw in the way people reach their conclusions about such matters as well as a great many others, even in areas that are not directly related to religion. Very few people, it seems, recognize how to establish the real truth about anything. The whole world seems to have adopted the rediculous philosophy of relativism that is an intrinsic part of the ancient philosophy of Sophism. As the old saying goes, "A lie can circle the earth twice before truth can get its boots on." And, once a lie has been accepted as the truth, getting people to believe the real truth is very difficult.
Now, I can prove what the truth is beyond any reasonable doubt, but I am going to refrain from doing so here at this point because it deals with an important part of a book that I will someday publish on how to know with certainty what the Bible really says and whether or not it can be trusted to be the actual inspired word of the God its writes describe.

I believe that life is too short and valuable to waste it believing a lot of stuff that isn't true. Everyone can't be right and be in disagreement at the same time and the claims made by the writers of the Bible are simply too serious to guess about.
Publications
It's quite obvious that the Bible is not easy to comprehend thus all the divided opinions about what it teaches. I am finalizing a short treatise on the Bible that I believe will help a lot of people who seriously want to get a clear understanding of what the Bible actually has to say to everyone, a treatise that should take the mystery out of it and show that it really makes sense. People deserve help in recognizing the truth about what the Bible says because there is so much false teaching about it that is actually leading people away from God instead of to God. It should be ready to send out by the end of this year, 2011 or before.
