Question
In Psalm 101, it speaks of David's loyalty to God, how he will refuse and reject all the these vile things, and I agree 100% with that but what I can't understand is when he says "lairs will not stay in my presence." I can't understand that we aren't suppose to stand in rooms with liars when Jesus brings forgiveness and love to all. Is this just a old testament doctrine that has been renewed by Jesus, or is it something that is of great significance? I know that righteousness is very significant in the life of a Christian.

Answer
Now He said to them, "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled."
Luke 24:44

Hi Charlie,

There are many passages in Psalms that are puzzling if applied to the life of David here on earth. Many of these passages are actually referring to Jesus in the new earth. In Paradise, there will be no liars.

As Luke pointed out in the above text, there are [many] things in the Psalms that are about Jesus rather than David. Keep that in mind when reading the Psalms. Many of them make better sense when applied to Jesus and/or the new earth.

Hope this helps.
