sir, i am a muslim and i want to know that what is the actual position of mentaly retarded children in cristianity specialy, what Bible says about the religious study of mentaly retarded children, please answer with the reference of the Bible, it will highly appreciatable for me.
Dear Muazzam,
There is nothing definitive in the Bible about the subject of mental retardation. A child, even though mentally deficient, can still hear the reading of the Bible and His spirit will take in all of the Word. He can still lift his/her hands and praise God. I have seen this often...
In the Bible it tells us to preach the gospel to everyone...and that includes the mentally retarded as well as all who practice other religions.
