Question
I have a class discussion on the meaning of several key verbs in Jonah Chapter 1 and the significance of each key verb.

I'm having some trouble interpreting the verb usage.

thank you for help

Answer
Hi, you did not especified what verbs but because of the chapter is full of verbs, I will tell you what is the meaning of the story.
When God as for us to do somethings or better yet to preach His worlds, and we like Jonah ignore God voice, and try to run away from God (wich is imposible to run away from God Psalm 139:3-12)God in His soberanity power will do anuthing to caught our attention, like sickness, storm, problems, like Jonah when he try to scape to Ninive.?
at the end we know for sure the the things are coming from God because we desobey or we dont do the God will. and we know the wahtever we do affect thirt party, like familys, brothers in faith, friends etc. Like Jonah, at the end we pray to God to release what ever is in our life and do whatever God wants us to go or do.
Thank you
