Question
I know this pastor who does not tithe from her salary. She says that God Doesn't expect to do so. She says she has scripture to back this up. Is she correct?

Answer
Jason,
I would like to know what scripture she is using to support her opinion. Is she just excluding Pastor's or all the saints?
However, we are not as save by the blood saints constrained by the law of Moses, that given to Israel. Our calling is much higher, much more sacrificial in denying ourselves in all things.
2 Corinthians 8:12-15  For IF THERE BE FIRST A WILLING MIND, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.  13  For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:  14  But by an equality, that now at this time YOUR ABUNDANCE MAY BE A SUPPLY FOR THEIR WANT, that THEIR ABUNDANCE ALSO MAY BE A SUPPLY FOR YOUR WANT: that there may be equality:  15  As it is written, HE THAT HAD GATHERED MUCH HAD NOTHING OVER; AND HE THAT HAD GATHERED LITTLE HAD NO LACK.
If we have anything over we are suppose to aid those that are short. This eliminates having anything more that is necessary at any given time. Takes a lot of faith, but that is what we are suppose to have.
Hope this helps.

The Bible contains an answer to all things necessary to life and salvation. We many times simple do not like the answer it gives. But, if your seeking the truth of God`s word, I can give my opinion and show from the Scriptures the basis for why I believe it is the correct interpretation of the Bible on most questions.
