I am looking for a verse in the King James that refers to unsaved persons being judged according to their consciouses, which I always took to mean how they lived their lives.  Can you help me?  Thank you, Linda

Dear Linda,

I believe the lost are judge according to their works.
Revelation 20:12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS.
Our conscience judges us, but the defiled and unbelieving have a defiled conscience.
Hebrews 9:14  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, PURGE YOUR CONSCIENCE FROM DEAD WORKS to serve the living God?
1 Timothy 1:5  Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, AND OF A GOOD CONSCIENCE, and of faith unfeigned:
1 Timothy 1:19  Holding faith, AND A GOOD CONSCIENCE; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
Hebrews 10:22  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, HAVING OUR HEARTS SPRINKLED FROM AN EVIL CONSCIENCE, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Titus 1:15  Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even THEIR MIND AND CONSCIENCE IS DEFILED.
1 Timothy 4:1-2  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;  2  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; HAVING THEIR CONSCIENCE SEARED WITH A HOT IRON;
I hope this helps, I cannot think off hand nor find one at the moment where the lost are judged according to conscience.
