QUESTION: Rev Philip,
My daughter & family are encountering evil spirits in her house.  They have had paranormal investigators at their house due to slamming doors, items levitating, Voices, you name it.  I am a very devout Christian and put my total faith in Jesus.  What are the best Bible passages to use to rid her house of these spirits?  Should we have a priest cleanse their house?  God Bless & Keep You!

Jesus called me to do deliverance many years ago. He equipped me to do this work. First you have to learn about your authority in Christ.

When you say that thinking of a priest? Does this mean that you are catholic?

Many verses deal with our authority over evil spirits. Luke 10:19; Mark 16:17; 1 John 4:4; Philippians 2:10.

But these verses do not work without them being accepted and used in authority. No evil spirit can stand up to God or God's people. We have power over all of them.

But to realize this power and exercise it, is different than just to knowing about it and knowing the verses. You have to believe it fully and operate it like a policeman...with authority.

Where is this house?  There are many cases like these. Rest assured there is an answer in Christ to everything.

QUESTION: My daughters fiance is Catholic, My daughter & myself are Christians.  The house is located in Rowlett, Texas.  She is truly afraid.  She says her faith is strong but the more activity that takes place, the more afraid she becomes mainly for my (2) grandsons ages 10 & 8.  I truly believe my faith is strong but I have never dealt with anything like this.  It seems to become more active with each passing day.  We were thinking of having the house Blessed (my daughters fiance suggested it).  I know without a shawdow of a doubt that our God is bigger than anything in Heaven or earth, but Lord help them, what do we do?

Getting a Catholic blessing for the house is not enough. I rented a house once that had these poltergeists in them. You have to cast them out or what is normally known as exorcism.

They are evil spirits. Bargaining or trading places will not help. They are evil and can hide for times but will always cause trouble and their intent is harmful in the end. Let no one fool you.

They are not of God but they are invisible beings.Jesus taught us to "cast out demons", as well as healing of the sick. Mark 16:18. Luke 10:19; Acts 19:11-17.

They can harm the unlearned.In my case Jesus called me to do this kind of deliverance. In the house where i had this trouble the lights went off, growling from a room, many manifestations, things jumping up and down.It doesn't frighten me because Jesus came to me in 1984 and asked me to do a deliverance ministry for Him.So i walked into the room and locked the door behind me and called on Satan to listen carefully and then cast him out.

That was the end of the trouble. But it did scare other people including preachers.

However in your region there will be many who can do this for you. But you may have to go to Holy Spirit type churches to find them. Born again Christians who heal the sick.

Don't worry about the denomination, just find ones that do the healings. These should know how to deal with spirits in houses. They can deal with the demon possessed, they can deal with house possession too.

Just be sure Beth that whoever you ask knows what they are doing, because if these spirits are not treated properly they can cause a lot of harm and even kill people. They are not from God, even though sometimes they disguise themselves. Read Acts 19. God gave me this for you.

Know that my spirit (heart) is with you and I will help in any way possible.

QUESTION: Where do I find a Holy Spirit Church?  I've never heard of one.

Dear Beth,

These are the born again people who are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. They speak in tongues like the bible says, do miracles, healings and cast out evil spirits, which is what you are wanting done,

So find a church that speaks in tongues (I presume you know what this means?) Mary spoke in tongues on Pentecost... Jesus told disciples to wait for the power of the Holy Spirit before they went out.

These churches are not named Holy Spirit churches. They are variety of names but they believe in the filling of the holy Spirit with the accompanying power that Jesus asked every disciple not to be without.

So ask around and find one of these,,, or do a google search.
