Question
Why would you say women can not lead men when women make up that majority of most churches in this day and time. How can men lead if they don't want to step up and women do. My mother is a minister and I disagree with you. She helps many every day and the word of God is the same wether it comes from the mouth of a woman or a man. And I live in Houston and I have experienced being a part of a church where 50% of the males are Gay even that pastor, so times have changed and I belive that I a strong (person)in Christ is very valuable male or female because we are at war now more than ever.

Answer
Hi Comonique,

THank you for your great question and comment.  I certainly can see your reasoning.  I know some women who are smart and would make great leaders.  If it were up to me, I would have no problem with it.  The thing is, it is not up to me.  I follow what the Bible says.  The Bible does not change.

1 Timothy 2:11-13
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.

If you claim to believe and teach the Bible, and claim that the Bible is perfect, then there is no choice but to submit to its authority.

There are amny folks who use the Bible as a guide, but not as the very Words of God.  In thoses cases, they may be free to change the rules.... but one cannot believe all of the Bible and have women to preach.

I understand your disagreement, but your disagreement is not with me, it is with the clear meaning of scripture.  I hope that you better see my point and I hope that this helps.

In Christ
