Question
Hey there is a verse in psalms i read it before, i don't remember what translation maybe (NLT), that says to be rooted in one church, what is it?

Answer
Hi Damon,

Thanks for this great question.  In my research, the word church is used 80 times, but all of them are in the New Testament.  I am not sure what Hebrew word could have been translated church since church comes from the greek work which means a called out assembly.  I can tell you of a passage that tells us that the local church should not be split:

1 Corinthians 12:25-27
25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.  26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.

I hope that this helps you.

In Christ
