Bible Studies/Nod

Question
I just saw a drama at Sight and Sound Theatre in Strasbourg, PA called In The Beginning.  They depicted Adam and Eve having a son named Nod who left with some other of their children to start a community somewhere else where they didn't need to serve our Lord.  I was wondering where they got this idea from and if it is an idea that is being discussed in theological circles.  Can you  help?

Answer
Dear Janice,
Genesis 4:16 KJV  And CAIN went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the LAND OF NOD, on the east of Eden.
There is no other reference in the Bible (KJV) for Nod. I am not familiar with what you saw so, I cannot comment on it. Surffice it to say that, if we all knew our Bible as we should there would be a lot less opportunity for false teaching to abound.
Hope this helps.

The Bible contains an answer to all things necessary to life and salvation. We many times simple do not like the answer it gives. But, if your seeking the truth of God`s word, I can give my opinion and show from the Scriptures the basis for why I believe it is the correct interpretation of the Bible on most questions.
