Question
how does God speak to people, and how can one knows that is God not devil who is speaking.

Thanks for your question.

God speaks to us through His Word. Really the best place to look to discern God’s will for you is through prayerful searching of Scripture.  As Deuteronomy 29:29 says, “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.” We can’t know God’s secret will. We can’t know the things He’s ordained, in His sovereignty. However, we can always know the right thing to do by examining God’s Word.

God will never ‘speak to you’ or give you conviction to do something that goes against His written Word. God never tells you to sin or to go against Scripture. Everything God says agrees; He never contradicts Himself. Get counsel from other people who may look at Scripture in a more unbiased way if you think you may be reading into it, or being selective about what you read.
