Question
Hello and thankyou for taking my question: I would like to know WHY faith is so important to have. I understands that prayers are answered by faith and miracles can occur only by faith...........but why, why does God take it so personally whether or not we have faith. While reading the Gospels, Jesus took it very personally when his disciples lacked faith - why did he take it so personally?????

Answer
Hi Pete and thanks for the question!
Well, I cannot tell you why God "takes it so personally" because He doesn't say explicitly in Scripture. You are right that Jesus took faith very seriously. We can only speculate, as humans which possess the same attributes, that as a father He wants His children to trust and have faith in Him, especially because He is perfect, He only wants what's best for us, and we desperately need Him!

I hope this helps and thanks for the excellent question!
