I have wondered about this too.  The Bible does not ascribe a specific tribal affiliation to any of the 12 disciples.  Some speculate that Judas Iscariot was from the tribe of Dan, since the tribe of Dan is not listed in Rev. 7.  However, this is pure speculation.

While the 12 apostles came from a few tribes only and were not chosen 'one from each tribe', there's a scripture which states that each one of them will sit on his own throne in heaven and be assigned to judge one tribe of Israel. "Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have theretofore? And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel" Mt 19: 27-28

In addition, studies were done as to which apostle will judge which tribe. Blessings, Yoanna
