QuestionQUESTION: Who were the men that the Holy Spirit guided to write the BIBLE?
ANSWER: Dear Corrina,
There are 40 men whom the Holy Spirit used to write the 66 books of the Bible, and I’m not sure I know them all, but let’s see how it goes:
Moses wrote Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy and Job.
Joshua wrote the book of Joshua.
Judges may have been written by Samuel.
Ruth was written sometime after the beginning of the reign of David.
1 Samuel chapters 1-24 were written by Samuel, while the rest of that book and 2 Samuel were
probably written by the prophets Nathan and Gad.
1 & 2 Kings may have been edited, from various manuscripts, by Jeremiah. It covers a period of
about 400 years. It’s been proved beyond a doubt to be very accurate history.
Ezra, the scribe, wrote the books of 1 & 2 Chronicles. He also wrote the books of Ezra & Nehemiah.
Esther was probably written by either Ezra or Mordecai.
The Psalms were written by David, Asaph, Korah, Moses, Heman, Ethan, Solomon, and
Jeduthum. I’m not familiar with most of them, but I enjoy their songs.
Solomon wrote Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, & Song of Solomon.
Isaiah wrote Isaiah.
Jeremiah wrote Jeremiah & Lamentations.
Daniel wrote Daniel.
The following books were written by the person whose name appears on the book:
Hosea
Joel
Amos
Obadiah
Jonah
Micah
Nahum
Habakkuk
Zephaniah
Haggai
Zechariah
Malachi
Mathew
Mark
Luke wrote his gospel & Acts,
John wrote his gospel, 1, 2 & 3 John, & Revelation.
Luke wrote Acts.
Paul wrote the following books:
Romans
1 & 2 Corinthians
Galatians
Ephesians
Philippians
Colossians
1 & 2 Thessalonians
1 & 2 Timothy
Titus
Philemon
Hebrews
James, the brother of Jesus, wrote James.
Peter, the disciple, wrote 1 & 2 Peter.
Jude, another brother of Jesus, wrote Jude.
I hope this helps. Keep reading the Bible and notice how it becomes more interesting every day. And as you read it you’ll find that it will become more interesting as you get to know Jesus better.
Stay close to Jesus.

QUESTION: Can you resend my assignment and also, who is Mordecai?
AnswerCorrina,
Your assignment was:
Read Matt. 4:5-11—the other two temptations. Notice how Satan tried to trick Jesus in the second temptation, and his boldface approach in the third.
Mordecai was the uncle of Esther the queen. Read the book of Esther. It's one of the most novel-like stories in the bible with intrigue, attempted mass murder, evesdropping diplomats, and justice. You'd have a lot of fun with it.
I don't know if I told you, but we're moving to Montana. The truck comes for our things on Sunday April 4 (just a week from Sunday) and we leave the next day. so I'll not be available during that week. I think Allexperts will shut me down for those days too.
My new e-mail address is pettypress@gmail.com
God bless,
