Question
QUESTION: So is it possible for a person's name to be erased from the Book Of Life?

ANSWER: Dear Corrina,

Yes, it is possible for a person's name to be erased from the Book of Life. Look up all these texts that mention the Book of Life:

Psalm 69:28
Phil. 4:3
Rev 3.5
Rev 13.8
Rev 17.8
Rev 20.12
Rev 21.27

See what each one says, and, instead of trying to find a way to get your name off the Book of Life, why not see if you can discover the way to get your name ONTO the book of life.

I'm tired of all this "what if" whining about whether or not "I am saved." You are either saved or you're not saved. If you question whether or not you're saved, you are showing a lack of faith in Christ, and therefore you are not saved!

Corrina, God loved you so much that He came down here in person and became a human being--a being that He Himself had created. He loved you so much that He took all your sins and mine, for which we were guilty, and for which He certainly was NOT guilty. He loved you so much that He took upon Himself the death penalty, and died on the cross so that you and I could go free. He gave up eternal life, so that you could have it.

If that love isn't enough to prove that He loves you and wants you in His heavenly kingdom, then nothing will prove it. If you don't latch onto the gift that God has, at such eternal expense, laid out for you to have--freely, without cost to you--then eventually it will be withdrawn and you will be lost.

So enough of all this sniveling about weather or not you're saved. Accept the fact, and lets move on and learn the great truths that the Bible has to teach us.

I love you as a Christian daughter. It hurts me to have to talk like this, but I want you to be in God's eternal kingdom. And you can't get there unless you put this obsession about not being saved behind you.

Enjoy reading about being in the book of life. Especially note Rev. 3:5. That's the way to get your way into Christ's book.

I'm looking forward to your answer.

QUESTION: So what is my assignment?

Answer
Corrina,

Here is your assignment:
Read Matthew 4:1-11, the temptations of Christ in the wilderness. I want to have you tell me 6 things about Christ's temptations:
1-3: What was the basic temptation about for each one.
4-6: What reason did Jesus give for not falling for Satan's temptations.

This may seem like a big assignment, but you'll find it relatively simple.

Keep Jesus in your heart, and look forward to His soon coming.
