john the apostle son of zebedee wrote the book of John speaking thematically about john the baptist is ths correct thinking
Thanks for your question, Sarah. I’m not sure how you are using the term “thematically,” but I believe the theme John the writer was using was not anything about John the Baptist, but instead, was the theme that Jesus is Who He claimed to be--God in the flesh. From the beginning (creation) to the end, Jesus is the Author and central focus of everything.
