Question
When Moses was on the mountain receiving God's law, only one tribe was chosen to be a priestly tribe. Which tribe was is?
The priestly tribe is the tribe of Levi. We see this in a number of places.
Initially, Aaron is appointed as a priest, along with his sons:
Ex 28:40-42
41 So you shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him. You shall anoint them, consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister to Me as priests.
NKJV
Ex 28:1-3
28:1 "Now take Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to Me as priest, Aaron and Aaron's sons: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 2 And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.
NKJV
And Aaron is of the tribe of Levi:
Ex 4:14
He said: "Is not Aaron the Levite your brother?
NKJV
The whole tribe of Levi was subsequently consecrated to serve the priests and to look after the tabernacle.
Num 1:49-50
49 "Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, nor take a census of them among the children of Israel; 50 but you shall appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the Testimony, over all its furnishings, and over all things that belong to it; they shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; they shall attend to it and camp around the tabernacle.

Experience
I have been a lifelong student of the Bible. In addition, I have been saved through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, and believe in the truth of God's Holy word in the Bible as the inerrant and infallible word of God. I have been a believer for over 43 years. Other qualifications include:

- Speaker at the "Last Days Bible Conference" and other functions.
- Researcher into religious movements and cults (maintain website with information on some of these movements and cults)

I hold to the view that the Bible is inerrant and infallible, and I belief that the Bible is our sole authority on matters of faith and doctrine (Sola Scripture, Sola Fide).
