Question
I know thi sis a weird question but days ago,me and my mom had a huge argument and I said to myself that she doesn't deserve to live but then I asked for forgiveness for saying it and I took i tback,so does that mean that God will actually take her away from me even after I asked for forgiveness?

Answer
Hi Corrina!

Thank-you for your question.

Thankfully, God doesn’t act according to our fleeting and reckless wishes and verdicts. Just because you thought – in the heat of anger – that your mother does not deserve to live does not mean God will carry that out.

If you ask God’s forgiveness (and your mother’s, too, as you’ve done) then He’ll forgive you and won’t remember your sins anymore. There are many Scripture verses that back this up. Here are a few I thought might help:

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
Hebrews 4:16

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9

"As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."
Psalm 103:12

"For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."
Colossians 1:13-14

I hope this was helpful to you!
