Question
Can I have an assignment?
And can it be in like Mark or Luke this time?

Answer
Dear Corrina,

Yes, of course.

Read Luke 22:39-46 and answer these questions (please number your answers):

1. Verses 39, 46: What did Jesus ask His disciples to do, and why?

2. Verse 42: What did Jesus ask His Father to do?

3. Verse 42: What did Jesus say that He would do?

4. Verse 43: Who comforted Jesus?

5. Verse 44: After being comforted, what did Jesus do, and what happened while He did this?

6. Verse 45: After prayer, what did Jesus do?

7. Verse 45: What were the disciples doing, and why were they doing it?

Pray before you do this assignment. Try, while reading the text, to look beyond the questions and feel what Jesus is going through. Think about why He’s doing this, and what your response should be.
