Question
where can we find white angel in the bible

Answer
Hello Fadario;

Angels are dressed in white and shine like the sun, but one specifically called a "white angel," no, don't find that in the Bible.

In the spirit realm there are God and His angels and Satan and the angels who followed him into rebellion, the ones Jesus called "demons." Some of these are so insane and out of control that they are kept bound in hell some are allowed to roam around. Paul tells us that Satan can mask himself as an angel of light, II Corinthians 11:14. Jesus tells us that hell was created for the devil and the angels who joined in his rebellion, Matthew 25:41, see also II Peter 2:4 and Jude 6.

The Name Elohim is the Hebrew Name translated "God" in Genesis 1:1 and throughout the Bible. However, elohim is also a name given to angels. This name appears in Hebrews 1:4; 2:7 & 9 and Pslam 8:4-6.

Only two angels are called by name in the Bible, Michael, see Daniel 10:13, 21; 12:1 & 2; I Thessalonians 4:16 and Jude 9, and Gabriel, see Daniel 8:16; 9:21 and Luke 1:19-26.

There are three types of angels described in the Bible:

Angels who look like men but are very strong, glowing with light and wearing white garments. Sometimes the Angel of the Lord is actually Jesus, see Genesis 16:1-13; 21:17-19; 22:11-16; 31:11-13; Exodus 3:2-4; Judges 2:1; 6:12-16; 13:3-22. When the Angel is Jesus He is called, "Angel of the Lord (Jehovah or Yahweh); "Angel of God;" "Angel of His Presence," Isaiah 63:9. In Malachi we read about "the Messenger Angel," which is also probably Jesus, Malachi 3:1. When He spoke to Jacob He said, "I am the God of Bethel;" in Exodus 3 He said to Moses, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham." Hagar names Him as the "All-Seeing God," Genesis 16:13. In Judges 13 He says His Name is "Beyond Understanding" or literally, "Wonderful," the same Name Isaiah attributes to Messiah in chapter 9 verse 6. My Scofield Bible comments, "The identification of this angel with our Lord harmonizes with His distinctive function in relation to the Godhead, for He is the Eternal Word through whom the invisible God speaks and manifests Himself, John 1."

Some Scriptures angels of this type are mentioned: Genesis 16:7; 22:11; Exodus 23:20; Numbers 22:23; Judges 2:1; 6:22; 13:15; II Samuel 24:16; I Kings 19:7; II Kings 19:35; Psalm 34:7; 91:11; Hosea 12:4; Matthew 2:13; 13:39 & 49; 18:10; 28:2; Luke 1:26; 2:9; 22:43; Acts 6:15; 12:7; Hebrews 1:14; 13:2.

Cherubim are described in Ezekiel 1. Satan was a cherub, Ezekiel 28 & Isaiah 14, both beginning with verse 12. It is my belief that the Cherubim are one and the same with the Living Creatures in Revelation 4. Cherubim have four faces, an ox, a man, an eagle and a lion, which represent the four natures of Christ: the Servant, the Man, the Spiritual Warrior and the King; and the four gospels: Mark, Luke, John and Matthew. Beyond that cherubim are hard to describe--you'll need to read about them for yourself in Ezekiel 1.

Seraphim have six wings. They are mentioned only in Isaiah 6.

Facts about angels:

The name angel means "messenger." Angels are created beings whose chief attributes are strength and wisdom, see II Samuel 14:20; Psalm 103:20; 104:4.

Angels are spirits, but they may become visible when the need arises.

Angels are always referred to in the masculine, though they are sexless, Matthew 22:30, Mark 12:25.

They are exceedingly numerous, see Psalm 68:17; Matthew 26:53; Hebrews 12:22; Revelation 5:11.

Their power is inconceivable, see II Kings 19:35.

They are in the throne room of God, Revelation 5:11; 7:11. The cherubim are God's personal "body guards," or honor guards if you prefer.

They exist to serve God and humanity, see I Kings 19:5; Psalm 34:7; 91:11; Daniel 6:22; Matthew 2:13 & 19; 4:11; Luke 22:43; Acts 5:19; 12:7-10. Each of us has a guardian angel, compare Hebrews 1:14 and Matthew 18:10 and Psalm 91:11.

The angels observe us, see Ecclesiastes 5:6; I Corinthians 4:9; Ephesians 3:10.

Angels will prepare individuals for judgment, Matthew 13:30, 39, 41 & 42; 25:32.

Hope this helps,

Sincerely,

Marilyn

Expertise

I can answer questions on issues about evolution and creationism. I can answer questions on how the Bible applies to every day life and the future of mankind. I have some understanding of spiritual warfare. If I don`t know the answer to your question, I`m not going to try and pretend that I do. But every answer a questioner receives from any person, expert here or anywhere else, must be weighed against what the Bible says and laid before God in prayer. Spiritual issues are too important to just accept what a person tells you without confirmation from the Bible and the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who gives a person wisdom. He will give peace regarding how to handle any issue or teaching if it is correct.

Experience

I am a life long student of the Bible and have tested its teachings under fire and found them solid.

Education/Credentials
I have a Bachelor's degree in English and Art Education. I am a mother, and I think that is an educational qualification of itself.
