Question
For two months I have grown to love an apostolic man.  I have always had a bad habit of using swear words, but have been trying hard to control this since I know it upsets my friend.
After saying a particularly bad swear word on the phone to this person by phone, he said goodbye and hung up the phone.  I knew instantly he was breaking off our relationship.
Was this such a terrible sin that his faith could not forgive me?  Not being particularly religious, I looked up apolistic and found you ready to answer my question!

Answer
Vivian, Obviously, the person in question is repulsed by your language. You might just want to wait this one out. If he calls again, perhaps you can work out something. If not, no great loss. If he is such a strict person, he has no business becoming involved with a woman who uses profanity. There would likely be other issues as well.

Move on.

Expertise

I will gladly respond to questions on perfection, sanctification, justification, the seal of God, and the nature of Christ. I can also help people understand issues related to the ceremonial law and Decalogue in the New Testament. As an SDA, I read more than fifty of Ellen G. White's books in their entirety. I can answer questions about Adventism, from the perspective of a well read member for more than thirty years. Martin Luther's treatise, "The Freedom of a Christian Man" is one of my favorite Christian writings. If I am not comfortable answering a specific question, I will try to refer you to a good resource.
