Question
I am having trouble explaining the Judgement seat in Revelation and the White throne in Revelation. If God forgives our sins, why do we stand before the White Throne?

Answer
Rev 20:11ff is a second presentation of the general judgment [see 20:4ff].  The image of the book of life attempts to explain why some turn to the true God and some do not.  Forgiveness of sins is not automatic -- it requires true repentance among other things.
Mt 25:31ff has another presentation of the final judgment.
The message of the last judgment, which reveals the triumph of God's justice over injustices committed by creatures, calls us to conversion while we still have "the acceptable time ..the day of salvation.[c Cor 6:2]."
I hope these thoughts help, Lynette.  If you wish more, please write again.
Best wishes.
