Question
We are all gods children.  Were made from the dust of the earth.  When Jesus came to earth in an incarnate form of God, and God is omnipresent (in all places at once ) Why then didn't everyone on earth know of his arrival? Why just one part of the world. It seems that God would not be prejudice over his children and choose one over the other. It just doesn't sound right. In my gut feeling I just can't get past this one. Help me with this one. Thank's Froggy

Answer
Dear Froggy,
Thanks for writing.  You are right that we are made by God, but John 1:10-12 says, "He was in the world and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.  He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.  But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, to them that believe on His name."  John 8:42 says, "Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, you would love Me...verse 44 you are of your father the devil."
Jesus' incarnate form of God (literally in human flesh) was not omnipresent.  Philippians 2:6-8 explains that Jesus temporarily gave up His omnipresent God form to take our place of death and separation from God.  Without that separation (Matthew 27:46) caused by our sins (Isaiah 53), Jesus could not have been physically killed.  The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) and Jesus Himself was perfect, so His death was able to meet the perfect justice/standard of God.  Our best deeds, even martyrdom cannot help us meet God's standard of perfection, but God's love provided His GIFT of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Is Jesus Christ your Lord?
John 3:16 God gave His Son to the world, not just that one part of the world where He was born with a human body.  That one part of the world has been God's focus for His story.  History is God teaching humans about Himself.  I appreciate, as Acts 17:6 records, "These that have turned the world upside down," that my country, so far from Israel, has had the influence of Christianity turning the world upside down.  The whole world will one day enjoy a wonderful 1000 years with Jesus ruling from Jerusalem.
May you live for Him Who died for you!

I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective.
