Question
Refrence 1 John 3:22 & John 9:31
Does God answer prayers of sinners/unsaved?

Answer
Hi Nihal,

Thanks for your question.

Yes, the Bible says that God refuses to hear the prayers of the unsaved – or those with unconfessed sin in their lives. Here are some Scripture verses on the subject:

Isaiah 59:2 says: “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.”

2 Corinthians 6:14: “For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness?”

Proverbs 28:9 “If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.”

Proverbs 15:29 “The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.”

Psalm 66:18 “If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.”

However, God through His rich mercy forgives those who confess their sin and hears their prayers and restores fellowship with Him.

Psalm 34:15 “The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry.”

Psalm 145: 18 “The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”

I hope this is helpful to you.

God bless!
