Bible Studies/Hell Question

Question
I recently read a book called "My visit to Hell" by Paul Thigpen, which is based on Dante's "Inferno". I have already asked this Question but I need to use this email instead. Is anything in this book biblically justified?

Answer
Hello, Jarrett.
Things are moving so fast these days that there's no time to do book reviews, so haven't read this one.  Have read the Bible and it certainly mentions Hell.  All places where it's mentioned give me no desire to want to be there, and also makes me want to save folks I meet from it's torment.  This is the main purpose of our work.
John 6:29.  Jesus said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent".
1 Corinthians 9:23  I do all things for the sake of the Gospel, that I may become a fellow partaker of it.
I encourage to read the Bible.  If you're doing a comparison of books, then you may look at all the references to Hell listed in its' concordance.
Have a good day.

I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective.
