Question
QUESTION: Please Im confused by Exodus 2:24,25,26 ,thank you.

ANSWER: Hi Everaldo,
Well, I'm even more confused as there is no verse 26 in Exodus 2 and vv. 24-25 is pretty self-explanatory. Did you mean another chapter?

Please post another question with the correct reference and please ask a specific question so I can help you further.

Thanks,
Todd

QUESTION: Sorry, I meant exodus 4:24,25,26 . thank you

Answer
Everaldo,
I had asked you to ask a specific question rather than just throw out a passage of Scripture. Essentially God was mad with Moses because he hadn't circumcised his son (Gen. 17:9-14). In this passage, his wife Zipporah immediately circumcises their young son because she understood the danger to Moses by not bearing the sign of the covenant (Gen. 17:9-14). Her statement, "You are a husband of blood to me," suggests her own revulsion with this rite of circumcision, which Moses should have performed. The result, however, was God letting Moses go (v. 26). God's reaction shows the seriousness of the sign he had commanded.

An interesting side note is that the word translated "feet" is thought to be a euphemism for genitals (as in Deut. 28:57 where "womb" is literally "feet"), meaning that his wife touched his genitals with it.

Thanks for the question.
