Bible Studies/String Theories

Question
I just read an article by "Shawn" on the topic of *Theist* String Theory, Multiple (sub)-Universes, and Higher Dimensions from the Bible.
Is it not reasonable to deduce that strings have a finite range of frequencies which enables us to percieve only those dimensions within that range ? Therefore, beings who are composed of strings with different frequencies (i.e.God) could have the ability to influence our strings but not visa versa.

Answer
Hello Glenn;

That's a good point.

I think Shawn touched on the idea that we cannot perceive God unless He shows Himself. Humans in general seem to have a craving to know God. We might reason He exists, but wouldn't necessarily have any understanding of Him--as witnessed by all the peculiar ideas people have developed about gods through time.

Philip Yancy asks how a person can interact with a fish in a fish bowl. The fish cannot conceive of our world, we'd have to become a fish in order to interact with the fish. God had to enter a human body in order to really show Himself to us. But until He did that, we were mostly clueless.

Yep I think you're right. God can influence our material universe, but under normal circumstances we can't influence His. If we operate on His terms we can influence Him: faith is the substance that crosses the barrier giving us influence in His realm. But without it, we can't influence Him one iota.

Living by faith, not by sight is quite a challenge for us because we are so wedded to our material universe and our senses--our "strings" have limited frequencies. He has to first show Himself to us, then we can hope to have faith.

Sincerely,

Marilyn

Expertise

I can answer questions on issues about evolution and creationism. I can answer questions on how the Bible applies to every day life and the future of mankind. I have some understanding of spiritual warfare. If I don`t know the answer to your question, I`m not going to try and pretend that I do. But every answer a questioner receives from any person, expert here or anywhere else, must be weighed against what the Bible says and laid before God in prayer. Spiritual issues are too important to just accept what a person tells you without confirmation from the Bible and the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who gives a person wisdom. He will give peace regarding how to handle any issue or teaching if it is correct.

Experience

I am a life long student of the Bible and have tested its teachings under fire and found them solid.

Education/Credentials
I have a Bachelor's degree in English and Art Education. I am a mother, and I think that is an educational qualification of itself.
