Bible Studies/The Garden of Eden Theories
Expert: Patricia Burns - 4/1/2010
QuestionQUESTION: Hello, I am a high school senior at Douglas Anderson school of the Arts in Jacksonville. I am doing a research paper on my theory of the possible location of the Garden of Eden, and I was hoping I could ask you some questions relating to this.
My theory is that the Garden could possibly be hidden somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle, as strange as it sounds. So my questions are:
1. What all do you know about the Garden of Eden and it's Cherubim's?
2. Where do YOU think the Garden could be hidden? And knowing the Lord our Father, would He really leave the Garden in the same place that was mentioned in the book of Genesis, or would He move it?
3. Do YOU have any theories concerning the Garden?
4. How much do you know about the Bermuda and/or Dragon's Triangle?
5. Given the facts on both the Garden and the Triangles, do you think that something more mystical and otherwordly is going on in the Triangles?
6. And finally, would you allow me to quote you in my paper?
I look forward to your answers, and I hope you have a blessed day.
Peace!

ANSWER: I am not able to respond to your questions regarding the Bermuda Triangle.
I can give you my view regarding the location of the Garden of Eden.
Before I would agree to have you quote my view regarding the location of the Garden of Eden, I would be interested to know which paper you are referring to.
I offer this study (below) for your consideration.
Earth’s Location of the Garden of Eden, the Paradise of God
I believe that upon this earth the PLACE that would BECOME the holy city Jerusalem was the PLACE of the Garden of Eden, the paradise of God, that Adam and Eve inhabited?
I tend to believe this since the paradise of God and the tree of life will be in the heavenly Jerusalem in the new earth.
In the beginning upon the earth the tree of life stood in the midst of the garden (Gen.2:9 below).
In the "new heavens" and the "new earth" (2 Pe.3:10-13, Re.21:1, Isa.65:17), the tree of life (which stands in the midst of the paradise of God - Re.2:7 below), is in the city of the living God, heavenly Jerusalem (Heb.12:22, Re.22:1-2, Re.22:14 below).
I believe Bible history began with Adam and Eve in the place that would become the holy city Jerusalem and Bible history will end at the holy city Jerusalem with the battle of Gog and Magog.
Gen.2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life (Re.2:7, Re.22:1-2, Re.22:14 below) also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Re.2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God (Re.22:2).
Re.22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Heb.12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion (Re.14:1), and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels.
Re.22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Re.22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.

QUESTION: I'm referring to one paper, my theory is that the Garden could be hidden in the Triangle, because the exact location has yet to be discovered, and with it being protected by a flaming sword and Cherubim's, its likely that who ever may come across the Garden would never come back. ^_^;
So you believe the Garden is in the holy city of Jerusalem?
