Question
Was Paul ever married? Did he have to be married to be a member of the Sanhendrin? I think he was a Pharisee because of his Jewish birth, but did he have to be married?
Apostle Paul – Acts 23:6
I personally do not believe the Apostle Paul was married, but I have no Scriptural knowledge of that fact.
Yes, Paul WAS a Pharisee, but Paul believed on Jesus as his Lord and Savior and BECAME a “new” creature, a member of the body of Christ, an Apostle of the church of God, Jesus’ living body.
Acts 23:6 But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisess, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.

| Comment | I really don't know how to rate her. SDhe said she "personally" believed Paul was not married, but in asking this question, I had already looked up that some experts believe he was a widower because of what he said in 1 Cor. 7:8; however, I also thought that by his being a Pharisee, he had to be married at one time (which is why I mentioned them). When I went on Ask.com, an answer said that it is "hinted" in the Bible that Paul had a long-standing relationship with a woman, but it was a celibate one. Now where, that "hint" came from, I don't know (Razzle-Fratchit) Known as "Pauline marriages." | ||
