Question
If God leads you too it, he will lead you thru it.
where do I find it in the bible. Thanks maxine

Answer
Dear Maxine,

Thank you for your question.

I’m not sure that the quotation is directly from the Bible. It seems to be a poetic expression, ending in “you to it,” and “you through it.”

But there are many texts in the Bible that offer that promise. The most famous is Ps. 23:

Psa 23:1  . . . The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psa 23:2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Psa 23:3  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Psa 23:4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psa 23:5  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Psa 23:6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

The theme of the Psalm is “he leadeth me” and “thou art with me.”

Take time to read through the Psalms and look for promises like this one.

Remember that David lived a very dangerous life: He was a good soldier and a commander of King Saul’s army; King Saul envied him because he was so popular and spent years hunting him like a wild animal, seeking to kill him; he had to fight many wars with his enemies on every side of Israel.

Keep this in mind when you read the many Psalms of prayers for God to give him vengeance over his enemies. Or you might read the Psalms as your own prayer with the idea in mind of praying that God will give you vengeance over your greatest enemy—the devil.

Reading the Bible is so important to the Christian. It would be very difficult to maintain a saving relationship with God without it. And learning about God and His requirements for us would be nearly impossible without some connection with God’s Holy Word.

Actually, if we watch for it, we’ll find Jesus Christ in almost every passage of the Old and New Testaments. Sometimes He’s known as the Creator (cf. John 1:1-4, 10, 14); sometimes He’s known as “the Angel of the LORD” (Ex. 3:1-14; cf. John 8:56-58); sometimes He’s known as the “servant” (Isa. 52:13-53:12).

If you have difficulty understanding the Bible, there are many aids available to help you do this, (see list below). But above all, read your Bible for yourself, and pray that God will help you understand it.
