Question
Where was Jonah vomitted out of the whale /fish (Jonah 2:10)?  Was it on the banks of the Mediterranean or was it on the banks of the Tigris near to Nineveh?

Answer
As you know, the text of Jonah does not say.  However, it is a very long voyage by sea from the Mediterranean to the Persian Gulf.  Also, the command in Jonah 3:1-2 is the same as in 1:1-2, so it seems that he was where he started, on the Mediterranean coast.
