Are fornications,adultries,and other sexual sins also considered types of whoredoms?

Thank you for your question about whoredoms.

A whore is someone who sells him/herself to be used sexually by another person. It is sex for profit. God abhors such a practice.

Lev 19:29  Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

Deu 23:17  There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
Deu 23:18  Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

In Revelation 17, God uses the whore as a symbol of all that is evil in the world, of the evil powers which have fought against Him and sought to destroy His people.

You mention fornication and adultery along with whoredom. The seventh commandment says:

Exo 20:14  "You shall not commit adultery.

The word “adultery” in the Bible includes all forms of sexual practices outside of the marriage of one man to one woman. It would include sexual activity:    
  • between a married person and an unmarried person  
       • between two unmarried persons
• between two persons of the same sex
  • pornography of any kind, whether live or graphically
         portrayed
  • sex for hire—whoredom

God created sex by creating one man and one woman. Through this enjoyable medium He ordained the family. The seventh commandment outlines God's intention to protect the family in the pure form in which He instituted it in the Garden of Eden in the beginning.

Gen 1:27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Gen 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Gen 2:21  And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
Gen 2:22  And [of] the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Gen 2:23  And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Gen 2:24  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

So you see, whoredom is evil, for it prostitutes, for the sake of money, God’s plan for marriage and the family. And fornication, and every other form of sex between persons who are not married as one woman to one man breaks the 7th commandment—commits sin against God—and if they continue in this practice will be among those who will be destroyed in the fires at the last day.

Rev 20:11  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. . . .
Rev 21:7  He that overcometh (has been saved by Jesus) shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Rev 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (total oblivion forever, compare Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6).

Paul explains this tragedy in a different way:

1 Cor 6:9  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
1 Cor 6:10  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

But the case is not hopeless: Anyone who finds her/himself in any of these conditions can find salvation in Jesus.

1 Cor 6:11  And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Jesus came to save sinners.

1 Tim 1:15  This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. . . .

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Give yourself to Jesus, and let Him give you victory over these things. He has promised:

Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

The rest that Jesus gives is victory over the sins and practices that have become a burden to our lives, that cause guilt and despair. Jesus can take these things away and give a hope that you’ve never experienced before. When temptation comes to do any of these things—or think thoughts about them—pray out loud, or even in your mind, “I lay this upon Jesus.” Then immediately change your thoughts to something different. Jesus will give you the ability to change your thoughts. If the thing returns, pray the same prayer, and change your thoughts again. You will find that Jesus will give you relief from the temptation to do or think on these things. He will lift the guilt and despair that have been weighing you down. And you will find peace.

Isa 26:3  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Isa 26:4  Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

Reading the Bible is so important to the Christian. It would be very difficult to maintain a saving relationship with God without it. And learning about God and His requirements for us would be nearly impossible without some connection with God’s Holy Word.

Actually, if we watch for it, we’ll find Jesus Christ in almost every passage of the Old and New Testaments. Sometimes He’s known as the Creator (cf. John 1:1-4, 10, 14); sometimes He’s known as “the Angel of the LORD” (Ex. 3:1-14; cf. John 8:56-58); sometimes He’s known as the “servant” (Isa. 52:13-53:12).
