Given, John 3:16-17, James 2:20-22, Ephesians 2:9, and John 10:25.

If [Faith in Jesus is Salvation], and [Faith without works is dead], we see a conclusion that [Faith [In Jesus] without works is dead [Salvation]].
=
What is the nature of [Dead Salvation]? A case where one is Saved after the First Death by Jesus, but is also still Dead, again, with the second Salvation?

This subject on works, without self referential paradoxical contradiction, seems related to The LORD demanding Exponential Usury Talent Returns of His Hands Laid Caught Heeled Sheep Prey Convicted Enslaved Servants to God, The LORD, as seen in the parable of the talents, in Matthew 25:20-30, and II Thessalonians 3:10-12. The case where The LORD Demands of His Slave Servants, Exponetial Usury Talent Returns, for If you do not work, then you should not eat, for [Work Makes You Free], from the German, [Arbeit Macht Sie Frei], in His Master Planned Millenial Reich, for The Vatherland, for His Exclusive Pleasure and Worship. It seems Jesus only Rented The Veil temporarily, until His Return to Earth?

AnswerHello Shawn;
Paul says, "If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that Jesus rose from the dead, you shall be saved," Romans 10:9. If a person makes this confession by faith and then there is no change in him--if he doesn't show any evidence that he has received a new Lord as opposed to the default overlord we all have at birth: satan, then his faith is indeed dead. He didn't actually believe that Jesus became his Lord and he didn't switch from his default overlord, satan, to his new Lord, Jesus.
Nobody expects a new believer to show evidence of belonging to a new Lord instantly, but evidence should show up over time.
Having a lord is a foreign concept to us Americans. We don't serve anybody but ourselves, or so we imagine. But to the audience Paul addressed--that is a people under the Roman boot--they would have understood it right away.
It's not fair. We're slaves to either satan or Jesus. That's our choices. We can have a tantrum about it if we want, but it doesn't change anything.
Sincerely,
Marilyn
