Question
Hi,

I have a question that has been in my mind for a long time. Why will so few be saved? Jesus said himself only a few will make it (Matthew 7:14). God has made his salvation plan very simple and easy to understand (Romans 10:9). With all of this in mind, why will most of the world not be saved? What is it that makes the gate and path so narrow? A God of infinite love is attractive, so why would most of the world miss out on Him?

Answer
Dear Elizabeth,

Well Elizabeth the reality is what you are seeing but it is a struggle to hold to the ways of God in this natural world.... we wrestles dark forces that want us to believe lies... and this is the problem in humanity. It doesn't want to have to struggle to please God.

Yes you are right about why give up something so powerful and loving as God's truth but there is a cost on following Jesus. Its free but not cheap.

We have a lower animal instincts pulling on us, and destructive elements in the mind wanting to always tear down good things.

Then there are folks around us wanting us to live wantonly and within the excesses of our carnal elements.... so it is a war and few persevere in it.

God bless
