Question
I need guidance or any help you can give me. I didn't know where to post this but I hope it gets read by someone that can understand. I seem to have this "thing" wrong with me. I get these senses that I can't shake. I know things that I shouldn't know & that I don't want to know. Ignorance is bliss & I can not live this. I hate it & feel like it is tearing me apart. I've been like this since I was a child & it seems to be getting worse the older I get. I pick up a type of energy from people. I cry as I write this because I don't know what to do. I get these feelings before something happens & it can be very paralyzing. I can say that they feel like panic attacks but there is something different from my "panic attacks" compared to others.....something happens when I feel mine. Things like deaths or bad stuff, uncomfortable stuff. I have been saved & I do call out in Jesus' name to give me strength to face whatever is going to happen in the near future. I believe in Him & accept Him as my saviour. I pray & fast. I'm not perfect & I have fallen but these attacks seem to bounce my soul. I feel it in my bones. I can't shake it even if I fast & pray for as long as I can. I want to run & run & keep on running. I've seen angels & I've seen another bad thing that I pray I never see again. I need guidance. If this "thing" that I have is from God I need help to understand. What do I do? PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I feel so lost, confused and very alone. My husband gets mad because he doesn't understand, he tells me that he can't handle my panic attacks, what he calls them, and that if I'm going to be like this he can't be with me. He says I need to be strong & says I scare him when I tell him things that I pick up on him that he is doing. I tell him that I know & that the Lord wants him to stop. I freak him out because I know those things & I shouldn't. And I'm trying but these energies or senses that I pick up I CAN NOT SHAKE until whatever it is has come to pass. I need help. I am not wicked, I don't do black magic or any of that stuff. I cry on my knees to the Lord why? Why am I like this? Help me please. I don't know who to ask or where to go. I believe it is spiritual. Please know that I love our Lord with everything that I have. PLEASE respond right away.

Answer
Hi, "dally"

We just received your question a few minutes ago, and wanted to reassure you immediately, that there is nothing wrong with you, and that we understand what you are going through.  We know how you and your husband feel, because we know others who are living with the same "thing" as you put it.
You are not alone.
There are only two sources for knowledge from outside of the physical world, God and Satan.
Because you are concerned about the cause or source, and because of what you have described, it is probably from God.  However, you will have to make that determination, with God's help.

We are told to "discern" the source of "inspired information":
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets [and demons] are gone out into the world."  1John 4:1

The only way anyone can do that accurately with the help of God's Holy Spirit, which leads us into "all truth". John 16:13

Fasting, and prayer are the correct ways to work with this, whatever the source.  Studying the Bible to gain understanding of God, of Christ's gospel, and how God works will help you in learning to "try" (to discern) the spirits, whether something is of God or of Satan.

We can offer some suggestions on helping your husband to understand what is happening, or, you can have him contact us directly.

A great many of the Bible's prophecies are dual, having a previous, historical fulfillment and a future fulfillment.   Not all churches teach this because not all of them understand it.  That is not just our opinion, but also a paraphrase of God's own words in the Bible.

The prophet Joel, wrote about the "day of the Lord" (Joel 2:1), and the "blowing of trumpets"(2:15) (as described by Christ in his revelation to John) and other events that precede the second coming of Jesus Christ (Joel 2:2-11, Rev. Chs. 2-22).

The "bad thing" that you didn't want to see may have been from those coming events or it may have been Satan or one of his demons trying to attack you, perhaps in your dreams while you were sleeping.

We do not have to fear Satan or his demons if we are close to God.   We can simply command them in the name of Jesus Christ, to go away and they have to obey, but only if we are close to God.

Part of Joel's prophecy explains what is happening to some people in this generation.
"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call."  Joel 2:28-32

The "great and terrible day of the Lord" is the Great Tribulation that Christ told his disciples would come at the "end of the world" (Mat. 24:3-31).

Note that it says “the remnant”.  Not everyone is going to experience the same thing.  Many will not understand what is happening. (Rev. 12:9).

Joel's prophecy was partially fulfilled on the day of Pentecost, described in Acts 2:1-20, but not fully (contrast it with events described in Revelation).

God has used women as prophets in the Old Testament and the New (Acts 21:9).

What you have seen or come to understand may be for your benefit, rather than for the benefit of others.  It may be God is preparing you for things that are coming.

As you may have already experienced, most people will think that you have an overactive imagination, mental problems, demon problems or a desire to be famous as a prophet.  This is why you should be cautious in discussing it with others.  If it is from God and he wants you to deliver a message, he will make that clear to you, based on the examples he preserved for us in the Bible.   In the meantime, God answers persistent prayers if they are wholehearted.  Sometimes that may mean days and sometimes it may mean years.  Patience is one of the qualities that he expects of us. (Rom. 5:3-5, Lk. 21:19, 1Tim. 6:11, Heb. 10:36, Jas. 1:3-4)   [All scriptures are KJV.]

If this helps in any way, or you would like to discuss it further, please write us again.  You may want to mark the question "private".
We are sincerely interested in your experiences and can suggest other scriptures to study in order to understand better, what is happening.
It is late and we have to prepare tomorrow for a snowstorm that has been forecast, but we shall get back to you again.
Sincerely,
Mel and Guyna

Anyone can read the Bible but sometimes it helps to have someone assist with the understanding (Acts 8:26-40). Truth comes from God through his holy spirit of truth (Jn. 16:13, 1Cor. 2:12), which is available to anyone who believes, repents and seeks God fervently and wholeheartedly, with humility, faith and persistence (Mat. 7:7, Deu. 4:29, Isa. 66:2, Jas. 4:1-10, Phil. 2:12). Truth is not limited to, or by, man’s religious organizations, church traditions, popular beliefs or personal opinions (Jn. 8:32, 14:6). We will try to help anyone who is trying to understand scripture or Christian living. [Please do not submit homework questions as they will be rejected.]

Experience

Over 40 years of personal study of the entire Bible (Deu. 8:3, Mat. 4:4, 2Tim. 3:16, Deu. 4:12, Rev. 22:18). Years of informal counseling of young adults, teens, couples, and prisoners, based on scripture and on actual life experience in the world outside of classrooms and church buildings and including a long and happy marriage. After years of experience with organized religion, we are non-denominational. Organizations
Organizations are of men, not God. While God may use some of them to facilitate his plan, organizations train their people to follow, not to lead. God was able to create the whole Creation, as we see it, in only six days, because he did not use a committee. Ten years after 9/11, the only thing approved for construction there was a mosque.

Education/Credentials
"If a man would teach others, he must first teach himself." - Source Unknown. B.A. in Theology, over 50 years of personal study, the last twelve of which have been full time study and research resulting in publication of several books and many articles.
