Bible Studies/Human, Woman, Man: Creation Order?

Question
Why is the order of creation man then woman, and not woman then man? Also why is man mentioned so many times in the bible when woman and man could be instead of "Man"? I am sure there are reasons for these names since God is one of purpose and meaning and reason; however, i cannot seem to fully comprehend them.

Im thinking along the lines of woman and man is just a name for different physical entities and so happens man is physically so and woman could of easily been called man though the physical form would still be feminine. Now, order of creation seems to be the problem with switching entities. I can go on about ideas but ill stop and let you tell me.

Answer
Hello Lance;

God created Adam first because it was to Adam that He gave the power to begat souls. Scripture says God breathed into Adam the breath of life, his own life, but a closer examination of the word "life" from the original Hebrew reveals the word "life" is used in the plural form--breath of lives. God gave to Adam, not only his own breath of life, but everyone else's. This is still true today, a man carries the breath of life for his descendants. This is shown in the physical/material realm by the sperm which is active, aggressive and carries the "fire" of human life to the passive female egg.

God took some flesh from Adam's side and formed the woman. Eve was literally flesh of his flesh, but not really a clone because clones are identical to one another. The Bible does not say God breathed into her her own breath of life, so I assume He took one from Adam. Eve was not a descendant, not a clone, but definitely taken out of Adam. From one God made two.

Hope this answers your question.

Sincerely,

Marilyn

Expertise

I can answer questions on issues about evolution and creationism. I can answer questions on how the Bible applies to every day life and the future of mankind. I have some understanding of spiritual warfare. If I don`t know the answer to your question, I`m not going to try and pretend that I do. But every answer a questioner receives from any person, expert here or anywhere else, must be weighed against what the Bible says and laid before God in prayer. Spiritual issues are too important to just accept what a person tells you without confirmation from the Bible and the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who gives a person wisdom. He will give peace regarding how to handle any issue or teaching if it is correct.

Experience

I am a life long student of the Bible and have tested its teachings under fire and found them solid.

Education/Credentials
I have a Bachelor's degree in English and Art Education. I am a mother, and I think that is an educational qualification of itself.
