Question
My question is this - was the earth originally like a giant green  house and than God created seas and clouds with a separation of sky between the two? If not, what was it like....I dont quite get it. Thankyou

Answer
Dear Pete,
Thanks for writing.  I picture Gen.1:6 about how you describe it.  As creation science teacher Kent Hovind figures, the canopy of water (probably clear ice rather than clouds) kept out a lot of harmful sun radiation and provided a green house effect.
This barrier of ice water was probably broken (windows of heaven were opened Gen.7:11) to provide the rain, along with the fountains of the great deep broken up, which flooded the entire earth and caused the worldwide geologic layers that obviously fit a catastrophic flood action interpretation much better than the "millions of years" scenario.

I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective.
