Question
QUESTION: James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
My brethren,
what does this mean

ANSWER: Dear David,

The twelve tribes were indeed scattered abroad as Jesus predicted in the fall of Jerusalem in 39 AD and some clever ones prior to this. This was Israel, in judgement for its rejection of God's Son. A most heinous judgement for any group or culture of humanity. Sentenced by God for 2000 years to be without prophetic revelation and without a temple within  which to atone for their sins. The new temple was in Christ.

Israel was special only when it obeyed the ways of God, not because of its culture or supposed heritage.

Now God calls all men everywhere to repent and this includes the prideful Israel.(Acts17).

What does scatter mean? Dispersion away from any temple made by hands once found in Jerusalem and scattered away from priests and prophets once used to bring the word of the Lord. Their only way back to God was through Christ. Yet still resentful and stubborn they appear to resist God even now.

God bless

QUESTION: Hi Phillip

so is it a true statement to say that the Jews can't worship God, because it is impossible without the true spirit within them, the gift of Christ Jesus, who they reject

regards
David

Answer
Dear David,

God accepts any heart that is honest and true, even if deceived. No matter whether it is a heart of a Muslim, Jew or another. (It is not their fault that they are born into this situation) God is always open to everyone who truly calls on the name of the Lord, even if they do not know that name.

However for regular and open worship of God (not done in vain) there is a need for a new spirit and a new heart.... a new creation. "God is seeking those who worship Him in spirit and truth" John 4:24.

All religious ritualistic worship not done from these directives is in vain. Useless and false, and not received by God.

Hope this helps?

God bless
