Answer
Dear Chandra Sekhar,
Thank you for your question.  Your English is just fine.  I understand your question very well.  This is a question that has troubled Christians for a long time.  It is my view that God has not completely revealed the answer to this question.
On the one side, you are correct.  The Bible is very clear that we must be saved by believing in our hearts and confessing with our mouths (Romans 10:9-10) that Jesus is Lord.  Jesus said that what is born of the flesh is flesh (John 3:6) and we know the flesh dies.  If we are born of the flesh as sinners and do not confess with our mouths and believe in hour hearts, we cannot be saved.  No one goes to the Father except through Christ (John 14:6).
On the other side, many Christians believe that there is evidence that small children are kept protected by God in His mercy.  This is the same mercy that God granted by sending a Saviour (Luke 1:69-79).  People question why a loving and gracious God would condemn children.  However, God is also righteous and holy and sin cannot live where He lives.
There is a passsage in the life of David that gives a little evidence that God may protect children.  After David's affair with Bathsheba and the sin that followed that initial sinful act, the child that resulted was struck ill and died (2 Samuel 12:15-23).  When he was dead and David was told about his death, David responded that there was no longer any purpose to mourn.  He said that the child would not return to him but that he would go to the child.  Many people take this passage to believe that children go to heaven just as David knew he would go there when he died.
My personal view is that we cannot be sure.  As noted above, I believe the answer to this question has not been completely revealed.  I do know that we have a responsibility to accept Jesus as Saviour and, once we believe, we have a responsibility to tell others about Him.

Expertise

Using the Bible as my primary source and references in support of it, I am willing to answer questions on subjects from the Old and New Testaments. My faith is based on biblical Christianity and fundamental views from the Bible. I cannot answer questions about specific sects or religious organizations nor can I address religions outside biblical Christianity. As a Christian for nearly 40 years, I have studied many aspects of the Christian faith. My particular interests are in creation and the natural processes of the world around us and how they fit with the biblical record. I believe that all Scripture is inspired by God. I believe that there are no contradictions in the Bible and that the Bible is complete in telling us as individuals how we should relate to God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit; our purpose on earth; and how we should live. Greek lauguage study has helped me gain additional insight into the New Testament but most of my reference work is done in English and, to a lesser degree, German.

Experience

Personal Bible study over the years, lessons delivered in Sunday School settings and messages during organized services, and leading Bible study series have prepared me to be comfortable addressing questions from others.

Education/Credentials
Formal study includes Greek language. I am a layman without a theological degree. Training has come from sitting under the ministry of excellent Bible teachers for my entire adult life, personal study, and selected courses. Secular educaitonal background includes an undergraduate engineering degree, graduate work in engineerign and business, and advanced courses in business and theology.
