Question
Hello, my name is Hannah Sandifer.  When I was little, about 8-10, I told God I hated him.  I talked to my dad about it and he told me about blaspheme and now I'm so scared, because, Now please please listen to me and keep it in mind, I can't remember if I had said anything because I am 12 now. I am so scared. About 10 people have told me that I shouldn't have to worry because I do still get scared and I have heard that the holy spirit is your conscience and if I didn't have a conscience( or holy spirit ) in your heart than I wouldn't even be scared to go to hell because I would feel like I have done nothing wrong.   Please read this and write back as so as you can.   Thank you so much!!!!

Answer
Hello Hannah,
Do you still have any questions about what I said?

Hello Hannah,
Well, the things you've heard are not exactly correct so, just as you've asked me to do, I'm going to see if I can help you understand what the truth actually is according to what the writers of the Bible said.
For one, the Holy Spirit is not your conscience. Two, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is a sin that can no longer be committed by anyone and Jesus said that God would forgive any sin a person could commit except that one. So, now there isn't a sin you can commit that God will not forgive as long as you sincerely repent of it and really try not to do it again.
Let me explain in more detail. First, spirits are like thoughts that enter your mind. You decide if you want to do what your thoughts tell you or not. If you think something bad it's like an evil spirit trying to get you to do something bad. If you obey the evil spirit it's sin. If you think something good, something unselfish, it's like a spirit of God telling you to do something and if you do it then God is pleased. So, good and evil spirits may be in you trying to influence you to do what they want you to do and you can choose to obey which ever one you want. If you usually make the wrong choice then it can be said that you belong to the Devil like a child belongs to its father because it is Satan that you tend to obey. You can't belong to God and to Satan at the same time.
Second, since "real" miracles (like those described in the Bible) don't happen any more you can't commit blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Here's why. Long ago, the Holy Spirit (God) worked real miracles through certain people it chose in order to prove beyond any doubt to people who actually witnessed them that the person doing the miracle was really representing God and telling the truth. Once God had made all the truth known (and this happened well before the end of the first century A.D.) he stopped giving people the power to perform miracles. Therefore, all the things that people think are miracles today are fake and the people doing them are frauds or liars who are just trying to trick people into following them. Only a person who actually witnessed a real miracle first hand and then denied that it was a real miracle and just a trick of the Devil could commit blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, a sin that God would never forgive because of the simple fact that the person had actually seen, with their own eyes, absolute proof of God and heard the truth about the way, the truth, and the life God wanted them to know. To deny that a real miracle had been done was unforgivable because miracles were the ultimate way God could prove himself to you so that you'd repent if you believed what the miracle was confirming. Understand? If you refused to accept that a miracle had been done then why would you repent? You wouldn't. If you'll read Acts, chapter 2 for example, you'll see that it wasn't until all those people had witnessed the miracles being done by the apostles that they decided that what the apostles were saying was true and from God (See John 3:1-3) and then about 3,000 of them repented and obeyed what Peter told them to do in verse 38. It was when they obeyed Peter's instructions that God forgave them and they were saved from their sins. They belonged to Satan until they obeyed God whose message Peter and the other apostles were preaching. As soon as they obeyed those instructions in verse 38 they were added to the church which is God's kingdom. Before that moment, they were not saved, not forgiven, not members of the church, not in the kingdom of God, not in possession of eternal life, were not obeying the Holy Spirit, and they were without the opportunity to begin living a new life of faith in Jesus. Read Romans, chapter 6.
Now, I sincerely hope that if you are not sure you understood what I just explained that you'll read it enough times that you are clear about it. If you still find it difficult, just write to me and tell me. I'll see if I can make it more clear. OK? There's a huge amount of popular but false teaching about what the Bible says and it can make it very difficult to understand exactly what the real truth is.
Sincerely,
Mr. McClellan

I can answer questions concerning Christian doctrine as well as other kinds of questions relating to religion. One important thing, among many, that needs clearing up is the meaning of religion. Religion is any system of belief that tries to explain how people should think and behave so that life is the best it can be. The definition found in the dictionary is seriously in error being based on popular but wrong ideas. Email me at and.the.truth.is@GMX.com for a free PDF 5 page introduction to my just completed book, "And The Truth Is?" It's uniquely different and interactive, designed to show you that you can actually know the way, the truth, and the life Jesus spoke of and what he expected people to do to participate in it as well as what to expect if they did.

Experience

My education puts me second to none in this area and I have had over forty years experience in the area of teaching Christian theology, doctrine, apologetics, hermeneutics, history, and philosophy. Publications: Among the things that I have written is a summary of the entire Bible that is intended to help people put it all together and quickly understand exactly what the writers of the Bible intended for everyone to understand. By reading it and then reading the Bible, the correct understanding should become quite clear and a sincere student will recognize that they have received an invaluable aid to knowing how to correctly interpret the Bible so that they can know, with certainty, that they are understanding it correctly. At the same time, they will be able to recognize the vast number of false doctirnes that are being called Christian doctrines but are only the teachings of men and have no more authority than any oridinary man can give them.

Organizations
I belong to no officially recognized organizations. I'm simply a person with a deep and lifelong desire to know the truth, a desire so strong that I have, for more than 50 years, poured myself and a lot of money into finding it and making sure of it. I believe that life is too short and valuable to waste it believing a lot of stuff that isn't true. Everyone can't be right and be in disagreement at the same time and the claims made by the writers of the Bible are simply too serious to guess about.

Publications
It's quite obvious that the Bible is not easy to comprehend thus all the divided opinions about what it teaches. I am finalizing a short treatise on the Bible that I believe will help a lot of people who seriously want to get a clear understanding of what the Bible actually has to say to everyone, a treatise that should take the mystery out of it and show that it really makes sense. People deserve help in recognizing the truth about what the Bible says because there is so much false teaching about it that is actually leading people away from God instead of to God. It should be ready to send out by the end of this year, 2011 or before. Now, you can purchase a PDF copy of my book "And The Truth Is?" on CD. It's very unique and it's interactive. If you're tired of living with a best guess and want to learn for certain what the truth is, this, the result of over 50 years of research and serious study, is what you're looking for.

Education/Credentials
I have two degrees in education, including religious belief systems. I also have many years of experience and many thousands of hours of study and research on which I've based my new book, "The Bible Actually Makes Sense."

Awards and Honors
All of my awards and honors are in the form of compliments from people who've read or listened to my attempts to help them understand what the Bible is about and how to comply with what it actually says. So many have said, in one way or another, that I helped them more than anyone they had ever met. It's comforting to know that my efforts to be of value to others is appreciated.
